Jennifer Lachance

Partner

“We have been working with Jen for many years as a facilitator for our executive offsites. Jen brings deep expertise, coupled with warmth and humor, to create meaningful experiences for our leadership retreats. She seamlessly adjusts to the group, meeting them where they are, while ensuring we always achieve our goals. Jen has worked with multiple different teams within our organization; she is the person we call when we need a top-notch event.”

Director, Health Care System

Jen has worked in the field of leadership development and organizational decision making for over a decade. First with healthcare and public health organizations, and then expanding across sectors, Jen has supported individuals, teams, and organizations to reach new insights in their leadership journeys.

Jen believes there is no one correct model of leadership; rather, effective leaders explore and experiment to find the pieces of different models that work best for them. To make this possible, she helps clients embrace their full selves and discover what fits their authentic style.  She focuses on boosting clients’ self-awareness and self-confidence while they practice different leadership skills in real time, in their real environment.

Additionally, Jen encourages those she works with to see the style preferences of others – including direct reports, peers, and supervisors – as complementary to their own. Rather than seeking uniformity and/or compliance, she believes leaders should embrace diversity in thought and approach to achieve optimal results. With this philosophy, she helps individuals expand their leadership possibilities, supports teams in how they work together, and advises organizations on improving their cultures or charting their strategic paths forward.

In addition to her work with clients, Jen teaches leadership and pedagogy at the University of California, Berkeley. She lives in Oakland, California, with her husband and son.
