”Mark helped me identify the patterns of thinking and behavior that prevented me from being more effective, and patiently and persistently guided me with concrete recommendations. I’ve emerged as a more thoughtful and confident leader.”
Sandra Nudelman, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Chase
Mark Ledden is a consultant and coach who is interested in making different kinds of things visible so that clients can make intentional choices about them. His work, which blends the disciplines of adult developmental psychology, complexity theory, and business strategy, typically entails building leadership and interpersonal effectiveness by surfacing change immunity systems and the different types of personal economies that explain why highly successful people sometimes feel compelled to act in ways they know will not serve them well in a given situation. Balancing mindset and “operating system” transformations with highly specific behavioral tactics, he works with senior leaders to first see the values and assumptions that explain their behavior and then to create safe experiments through which they can test the validity of their assumptions and the utility of new actions.
Mark is Partner of Kenning Associates, which he founded in 2003 after spending 5 years as a communications expert and coach at McKinsey and Company. In addition to being a coach and consultant, Mark is himself an entrepreneurial leader. Since 2006, Mark has served as the CEO of two biotech startups and a non-profit elementary school, which he also helped found, for children with learning differences. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife Susan and their three children.
